The seniority of delegates registered for World Routes, the 18th World Route Development Forum, is higher than at any previous events. This year has seen high-level registrations from all sectors of the industry, including airline and airport CEOs and ministers of tourism.
This year’s World Route Development Strategy Summit (WRDSS), taking place on Sunday 30 September to 1 October, will bring together thought leaders and decision makers from across the aviation sector under one roof to participate in discussions and debates that will set the commercial and political agenda for the industry.
Proceedings ahead of the 18t World Route Development Forum have been launched ahead of the event to take place from September 29th to October 2nd 2012. The event will be hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company and supported by official carrier Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
Representatives from The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), its partners and stakeholders, and UBM Aviation attended a signing ceremony earlier today to cement the decision that Chicago has been selected as the host city for the 20th World Route Development Forum, which will be held in September 2014.
After a very successful World Routes at Berlin Brandenburg Airport the event has officially handed over to Abu Dhabi Airports Company who will host the 18th World Route Development Forum in 2012. The destination has seen its star continue to rise in recent months, with the prestigious World Travel Awards also selecting Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority as the World’s Leading Tourist Board in 2010.
Cartagena de Indias has been named as host for the fifth annual Routes Americas event, to be held in 2013. Speaking at the official signing ceremony at the 17th World Route Development Forum in Berlin, Maria Claudia Gedeon, financial director of Cartagena – Rafael Nuñez International Airport said: “We are delighted to be hosting Routes Americas in 2013.”
Novosibirsk Airport Tolmachevo, Russia’s sixth largest airport, has engaged Airport Strategy and Marketing to provide a wide range of strategic and tactical consultancy services to help the airport expand its international operations. The contract was signed today at World Routes 2011 in Berlin.
