Travelodge rejoins British Hospitality Association
Travelodge, one of the UK’s leading budget hotel chain’s which has 513 hotels and over 37,500 rooms, is rejoining the British Hospitality Association.
Travelodge takes top spot in London ahead of 2012 Olympic Games
Travelodge will open seven hotels in July, with four of the sites being located in London, making the budget hotel chain the largest hotelier in the capital for the Olympic Games. At a combined investment value of £36 million, these new openings (in Balham, Enfield, ExCel and Woolwich) will mean that Travelodge has 54 hotels in London.
Travelodge invests £18.5m in Edinburgh expansion
Travelodge is opening its 13th hotel in Edinburgh city centre with clothing retailer Arcadia Group. The new property is part of a £18.5 million investment drive that will create 40 new jobs.
Sabre extends Travelodge Hotels deal
Sabre Travel Network, a global technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, has extended its content agreement with Travelodge Hotels. The deal means more than 350,000 Sabre-connected travel agents around the world now have access to more than 475 Travelodge properties in the UK and Ireland.
Travelodge directors launch coup against Parsons

Travelodge has outlined plans to develop ‘Metro’ style hotels in prestigious locations and in office blocks across the UK in a bid to meet the growing demands of its customers. Travelodge Hotels has announced the appointment of Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Dubai-based luxury hospitality brand, Jumeirah Group, as a Non Executive Director. He will join the board with effect from 3 May 2011.
Travelodge targets £100 million expansion programme
Travelodge has confirmed it will channel £100 million into a 36 site expansion programme in partnership with the UK’s resurgent pub companies by 2015. Already co-located with pub companies on 15 bespoke developments across the UK, Travelodge is now actively working with Greene King, JW Lees, Marston’s, Mitchells & Butlers and JD Wetherspoons to find further development opportunities across the country.
