The revitalised Darling Harbour precinct, including International Convention Centre Sydney, has formally opened to the public at the Celebrate Darling Harbour event, designed to give Sydneysiders a taste of the vibrant new city hub. Visitors were invited to enjoy a parade of musical acts, including Grammy Award winner KIMBRA, and get a glimpse of Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment venue.

P&O Cruises Australia has introduced its two latest ships, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, expanding Australia’s largest year-round fleet to five cruise ships. With the addition of Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, P&O Cruises Australia now has five ships cruising year-round from eight homeports in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

At a forum focussed on the unprecedented rejuvenation of Sydney’s western harbour earlier, private and public sector representatives discussed how best to promote an emerging super precinct, within the heart of which sits International Convention Centre Sydney. Chief executive of ICC Sydney and AEG Ogden Group conventions director Geoff Donaghy said although the international convention centre was set within its own dynamic precinct of Darling Harbour, the destination was further bolstered by the growth of neighbouring finance, technology, media and student hubs.
