The pioneer of cultural expedition cruising, Swan Hellenic, has launched three new cruises in Africa and South America. Choose between the Atlantic Archipelago & Desert Dunes (Dakar to Casablanca), Moorish Splendours and Iberian Charms (Casablanca to Lisbon) and Exploring South America (Barbados to Brazil) all on luxury ship, SH Vega.

As the iconic company’s second ship, SH Vega, sails on its inaugural arctic cruise, the cultural expedition cruise pioneer reveals it’s set to return to its roots with SH Diana, its third and largest vessel, exploring sites of antiquity across the Mediterranean from 2023.

Swan Hellenic has announced that the Naming Ceremony of its second ice-class cultural expedition cruise ship, SH Vega, had taken place at Helsinki Shipyard. The ship is now on her way to Norway and her first cultural expedition cruise of the Arctic, an 11-day exploration of the Svalbard Archipelago, departing Tromsø on the 20th of July 2022.

SH Vega features a 4.6-megawatt diesel-electric hybrid-ready propulsion system with selective catalytic reduction and PC5 ice-strengthened hull that is fully Safe Return to Port certified.

Swan Hellenic has celebrated the christening of its new ship, SH Minerva, at the Helsinki Shipyard during a small private ceremony. However, her debut has been delayed in the wake of the pandemic.

Swan Hellenic announced that Helsinki Shipyard has floated SH Minerva out of dry dock. Her twin ship, SH Vega, was floated in dry dock on the same day.
