Four Points by Sheraton set to open in Turkey
Turkey is gearing up for its first Four Points by Sheraton property, following a franchise agreement between Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Ever Group for the new-build Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Dudullu. With an opening scheduled for the end of 2014, the The 182-room property is to be the inaugural Starwood hotel to open on the Asian side of Istanbul.
W Hotels boost luxury portfolio in Thailand
W Hotels is planning to debut its third hotel in Thailand with W Retreat Phuket - Phang Nga Bay. Scheduled to open in January 2018, the W Retreat will offer a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant and a specialty restaurant and bar. It will feature 120 square metres of modern meeting and event space; FIT, a well-equipped workout facility and swimming pool; and a contemporary spa with six treatment rooms.

Starwood opens St Regis Chengdu
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened a St Regis hotel in Chengdu. The 279 room property, which stands at 29 storeys tall, marks the brand’s sixth hotel in China, and 33rd worldwide. “The St. Regis Chengdu marks a significant milestone for the brand with plans to double the St. Regis portfolio in Greater China in the next five years,” said Paul James, global brand leader, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and W Hotels Worldwide.
Starwood set to debut St Regis brand in Kazakhstan
Starwood Hotels & Resorts will debut the St. Regis brand in Kazakhstan’s lively capital city with the opening of The St. Regis Astana and The Residences at The St. Regis Astana. Scheduled to debut late 2014, Sheraton Samsun Hotel will mark Starwood’s entry into the emerging city and will be the company’s eleventh hotel in Turkey.
