Qatar Airways boosts frequencies on key Asia routes
Qatar Airways continues to demonstrate strong global growth with the announcement of new flights to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The airline has responded to continued robust demand from passengers by increasing its Colombo service from four to five flights per day from September 1st, just one month after the last frequency increase.

Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, to open in December
Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo is set to open on December 1st. The hotel will be the second property in Sri Lanka for the luxury Asian hospitality group – joining Shangri-La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa, which opened in June 2016.

Qatar Airways adds new frequency to Colombo, Sri Lanka, route
Qatar Airways has announced it will introduce a fourth daily non-stop service from Doha to Colombo from August 1st. In addition two of the four daily flights will be serviced by the B777-300ER aircraft to accommodate the increased travel demand to and from Sri Lanka.
