Minor Hotels to Debut in Singapore with Avani Hotels & Resorts Lifestyle Brand

Minor Hotels, a global hospitality leader with over 550 hotels, resorts and residences in 56 countries, has announced plans to launch its Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand in Singapore, marking the group’s entry into the country. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027, the 13-storey upscale property aligns with Minor Hotels’ expansion strategy to strengthen its footprint in major global destinations.

This October, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore will be hosting an epic pizza omakase pop-up featuring the award-winning pizzeria hailing from Japan, The Pizza Bar on 38th, ranked No. 1 in 50 Top Pizza Asia Pacific 2024 and No. 4 in 50 Top Pizza World 2023. Exclusively from 24 to 27 October and 29 to 31 October 2024, Italian-born executive chef Daniele Cason of The Pizza Bar on 38th in Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo will helm the 8-seat only chef’s table at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, embu, presenting his art of pizza in his masterfully crafted eight-course lunch and nine-course dinner degustation menus, served omakase-style.

Singapore has joined the growing roster of nations to ease Covid entry restrictions. With infection rates stabilising, the Asian hub is removing the requirement for vaccinated travellers to take a pre-arrival test, whilst limits on group sizes and social distancing are also being scrapped, as from tomorrow.
