Russian president Vladimir Putin has authorised commercial flights between Egypt and Russia to resume following a two-year suspension. The move is expected to place further pressure on the British government to review their own stance on flights to Egypt.
Vladimir Putin has lifted sanctions on Russian travellers visiting Turkey. The Russian president effectively barred holidaymakers visiting the tourism hotspot last year after Turkey shot down a Russian military jet. Turkey had claimed the jet had violated its airspace.
