Rusbridge to step down from Reed in December
Mike Rusbridge, chairman of Reed Exhibitions is to retire at the end of 2015. Rusbridge joined Reed Exhibitions as its chief executive, Europe in 1988, becoming president of Europe and Asia in 1994 and appointed chairman and chief executive in 1996. During Rusbridge’ s time chairman, Reed Exhibitions has grown from a $400 million to $1.5 billion company and today organises 500 events in 43 countries, across 43 industry sectors with over seven million participants.
Reed Exhibitions takes on Pilbeam to head travel portfolio
Reed Exhibitions has appointed Nick Pilbeam to the position of divisional director – travel. Newly appointed Pilbeam, who brings with him an enormous amount of growth strategy knowledge and industry insight, will head up the travel division of the world’s leading events organiser Reed Exhibitions. ATM: Saudi to invest heavily in tourism over next decade

Reed Exhibitions expands in South Africa with Thebe acquisition
Reed Exhibitions has signed a joint venture agreement with Thebe Tourism Group to acquire a majority share in Thebe Exhibitions & Projects Group based in South Africa. TEPG will be renamed Thebe Reed Exhibitions and will be owned 60 per cent by Reed Exhibitions, 30 per cent by Thebe Tourism Group, with Carol Weaving retaining ten per cent.
