Doha to welcome Art for Tomorrow conference to Qatar
A major international conference on culture and economics will bring together some of the world’s top names in the arts, architecture and urban planning in Doha this weekend. The ‘Art for Tomorrow’ conference, organised by the International New York Times in partnership with Qatar Museums and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, will study the role of art and architecture in building communities, developing commerce and enriching lives.
ITB Berlin 2015: Qatar picks up top World Travel Award in Germany
Qatar Tourism Authority has been recognised as the World’s Leading Business Travel Destination by the voters at the World Travel Awards for the four consecutive year. Rashed Saeed Al-Qurese, chief marketing and promotions officer with the Qatar Tourism Authority, picked up the coveted trophy during a special presentation at this year’s ITB Berlin in Germany.

Hamad International Airport off to flying start in Qatar
Hamad International Airport, Qatar’s new world-class gateway to the world, today announced an increase in its monthly passenger statistics compared to those at Doha International Airport. HIA saw a ten per cent passenger increase through its doors in September 2014 compared to September 2013 at DIA.
Qatar reveals record visitor numbers as tourism surges
Qatar Tourism Authority has released figures today showing that the tourism industry in Qatar continues its strong performance. The data were released in QTA’s first half 2014 report, covering the period from January to June and comparing performance to the same period 2013. All key indicators of the tourism sector demonstrated improvement and growth, with capital Doha setting the trend.

Qatar Tourism Authority has signalled its intentions of targeting German-speaking Europe as a prime growth market by appointing tourism marketing and PR specialists, Lieb Management, as its new representatives to cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland. QTA director of marketing and promotions, Rashed AlQurese, said: “These are sophisticated markets with discerning travellers actively seeking new and different vacation experiences.
IATA AGM 2014: Emir of Qatar greets global aviation leaders
The State of Qatar’s Emir and patron of this year’s 70th International Air Transport Association Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani today inaugurated the much-awaited global aviation conference in the capital Doha.
