Outrigger acquires two Fiji properties

Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa now open
The beachfront Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa is now open. The Deluxe 181-room, all sea-view resort opened 30 January and is the first in the Indian Ocean belonging to Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, the 66-year old Hawaii-based hospitality company which now has 45 properties open or under development in eight countries.

Outrigger acquires Mauritius beachfront property
Hawaii-based Outrigger Hotels and Resorts announced today that it has purchased from Dubai-based Kingdom Hotel Investments the 181-key Movenpick Resort and Spa Mauritius in the island nation of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean from Dubai-based Kingdom Hotel Investments. The transaction closed on May 29, 2013, for an undisclosed amount.

Four hundred people attended the sensational grand opening party of the 255-room Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort in Phuket, 4 April.
