The cruise industry has been given a boost by Royal Caribbean posting a strong set of quarterly results and a bullish outlook for 2010. The cruise giant also said Oasis of the Seas - the world’s largest cruise ship - has proved a huge hit with customers.

Royal Caribbean International will officially name its newest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, today, Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, during an elaborate maritime celebration designed especially for the world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship.

St. Kitts’ Port Zante can physically accommodate Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas, the largest and newest cruise ship in the world, and it may happen sometime in the future as the island’s cruise port has been officially assessed as “Oasis capable.”
