Vienna House announces new hotel acquisition in Kronberg im Taunus
Vienna House has signed the lease agreement for a 96-room hotel project in Kronberg im Taunus, a historic town and modern business centre close to Frankfurt. The new hotel building forms part of a new urban development plan, ‘Musikquartier Kronberg’, designed by Staab Architekten of Berlin that will also include the construction of the adjacent music hall and the integration of the historic railway station.
Rezidor and Prizeotel plan joint hotel in Erfurt, Germany
The Rezidor Hotel Group and prizeotel have confirmed their second joint hotel project in Erfurt, eastern Germany. The prizeotel Erfurt-City, featuring 208 rooms, will open its doors in 2019 at a premium location with a direct connection to Erfurt central train station, at the start of the urban development project ‘ICE City’. prizeotel founder Marco Nussbaum, said: “I am very pleased to bring our second joint project to market, within eight months of the announcement of our partnership with The Rezidor Hotel Group.”
Student Hotels moves into Germany with Berlin location
Adding to its twelve-strong portfolio of properties, The Student Hotel will open its first German location in the heart of Berlin in partnership with the European Student Housing Fund. The 17,000-square meter space is located on Alexanderstraße, in the immediate vicinity of the iconic Alexanderplatz, an area known as the Alexanderquartier.
Mövenpick plans new hotel at Stuttgart airport
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed the contract for a second Mövenpick hotel at Stuttgart airport. The new-build hotel, located by the S-Bahn and the planned ICE airport station and tram terminal stop, is expected to open in spring 2019. “Our existing hotel opened nine years ago and, overseen by Jürgen Köhler, general manager and director of operations Germany, is highly regarded as an excellent hotel choice in this important economic centre”, commented Ola Ivarsson, chief operating officer Europe.
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts signs for Moscow property
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Russian investor Alexey Bogachev to bring the luxury hospitality brand to Moscow. Moscow-based real estate development company Storm Properties is developer of the project. Plans for the Bulgari Hotel in Moscow have been announced, and it is expected to open in 2019.
Four Seasons Resort Hvar set for 2019 opening in Croatia
Arqaam Capital, a specialist emerging markets investment bank, has entered into a partnership with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts to manage and operate Arqaam’s luxury mixed use resort currently being developed on the island of Hvar in Croatia. Four Seasons Resort Hvar, Croatia is expected to open in 2019.

NH Hotel Group will bring its nhow brand to the UK capital in a new development from internationally acclaimed studio Foster + Partners, located within Shoreditch and the City of London. Center Parcs unveils €200m expansion in Ireland
Center Parcs today announced plans to develop a holiday village at Newcastle Wood, five kilometres from Ballymahon, County Longford, Ireland. The 375 acre site is currently owned by Coillte, the state forestry company, and Center Parcs have signed an option agreement with the company.
