Vienna House announces new hotel acquisition in Kronberg im Taunus

Vienna House has signed the lease agreement for a 96-room hotel project in Kronberg im Taunus, a historic town and modern business centre close to Frankfurt. The new hotel building forms part of a new urban development plan, ‘Musikquartier Kronberg’, designed by Staab Architekten of Berlin that will also include the construction of the adjacent music hall and the integration of the historic railway station.

The Rezidor Hotel Group and prizeotel have confirmed their second joint hotel project in Erfurt, eastern Germany. The prizeotel Erfurt-City, featuring 208 rooms, will open its doors in 2019 at a premium location with a direct connection to Erfurt central train station, at the start of the urban development project ‘ICE City’. prizeotel founder Marco Nussbaum, said: “I am very pleased to bring our second joint project to market, within eight months of the announcement of our partnership with The Rezidor Hotel Group.”

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed the contract for a second Mövenpick hotel at Stuttgart airport. The new-build hotel, located by the S-Bahn and the planned ICE airport station and tram terminal stop, is expected to open in spring 2019. “Our existing hotel opened nine years ago and, overseen by Jürgen Köhler, general manager and director of operations Germany, is highly regarded as an excellent hotel choice in this important economic centre”, commented Ola Ivarsson, chief operating officer Europe.
