Dusit unveils plans for two new properties in Huizhou, China
Dusit International has signed a management agreement with Huizhou Yuetai Investment Company to operate two new properties in Huizhou, in China’s Guangdong Province. Opening under Dusit International’s luxury Dusit Devarana and upscale dusitD2 brands respectively, both properties will be located in Huizhou’s Shuangyue Bay, one of the region’s most popular destinations renowned for its scenic hiking trails, white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water.

Wyndham Garden Phu Quoc, Vietnam, to open in 2020
Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the signing of a new Wyndham Garden branded resort slated for development on the island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The Wyndham Garden Phu Quoc is scheduled for completion in 2020 and adds to the hospitality giant’s growing portfolio in Vietnam, which includes the newly-opened Wyndham Legend Halong Bay and the 3,200-key Wyndham Soleil Danang due to open in 2018.

Ascott expands presence in Asia with lyf Funan Singapore deal
The Ascott is investing S$170.3 million, through its serviced residence global fund with Qatar Investment Authority, in the serviced residence component of the Funan integrated development.

Marriott International signs two new Edition properties in Japan
Marriott International, together with Ian Schrager, has announced the signing of two separate agreements with Mori Trust for two new properties in Tokyo. The trust is the largest owner and franchisee of Marriott International hotels in Japan.

Dusit International to launch first Nepal property in Himalayas
Thailand-based Dusit International has signed a management agreement with Omstone Asia Capital Nepal to operate Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort & Spa. When complete it will be the first Dusit-branded property in Nepal.

Hilton signs with BRG Group for dual branded Vietnam property
Hilton has announced the signing of a management agreement with Victory Hotel Joint Stock Company, which is part of the BRG Group, for a 610-room dual-branded hotel. Owned by BRG Group, and to be managed by Hilton, the dual-branded property will feature Hilton Hanoi West Lake, with 240 rooms and suites, as well as 50 serviced residences and DoubleTree by Hilton Hanoi West Lake, with 320 rooms and suites.

Dusit International has signed a management agreement with Phuket-based property developer Layana Development to operate the dusitD2 Phuket Aria hotel in Surin Beach. Located on the west coast of Phuket between Bang Tao and Kamala Beaches, and just 30 minutes by car from Phuket International Airport, Surin Beach is dubbed ‘Millionaire’s Row’ due to its cluster of high-end resorts and residences.

Four Seasons reveals new hotel in Otemachi, Tokyo
Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Mitsui Fudosan have announced plans for an all-new luxury hotel in the heart of Tokyo’s bustling Otemachi business district. Part of a mixed-use development, the Hotel is set to open in the spring of 2020 with approximately 190 guest rooms.

Ritz-Carlton reveals plans for two new resorts
Ritz-Carlton has signed an agreement for the development of two new hotels in Asia Pacific, The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui on the naturally beautiful island resort of Thailand and a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Niseko Village set at the base of Mount Niseko-Annupuri, the Japanese ski haven. Niseko is home to the largest ski resort in Japan, and is known internationally for being one of the world’s leading ski destinations.
