Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that its world-renowned Westin brand has reached the 200th hotel milestone with the opening of The Westin Chongqing Liberation Square in China. Westin will follow this growth milestone with the opening of three more hotels in China: The Westin Zhujiajian Resort in Zhoushan, The Westin Blue Bay Resort in Qingshui Bay, Hainan and The Westin Haikou in Hainan.

The Ascott has crossed its milestone of having 35,000 apartment units globally as it steps up its growth in China by securing contracts to manage four more properties with over 900 apartment units in Taiyuan, Beijing, Shanghai and Dalian. Ascott has secured its first serviced residence in Taiyuan, the 170-unit Ascott Taiyuan which is slated to open in 2018, the 195-unit Ascott Riverside Garden Beijing and 342-unit Somerset Sunland Shanghai which are both slated to open in 2016, and an operating property in Dalian which has been rebranded as a 195-unit Somerset Grand Central Dalian.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide today announced an agreement with Shenyang Huaqiang Jinlang City Square Properties Co., Ltd. to debut the W Hotels brand in Shenyang, a Northeast China province. Scheduled to open in 2019, W Shenyang will be located along Qingnian Avenue, known as the city’s Golden Corridor, which comprises the central business district, central administration district and central cultural district.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is adding to its Asia Pacific pipeline with two new deals and the opening of three new hotels in India. At the same time, the group continues to expand its Radisson Blu brand, with the opening of its first Radisson Blu hotel in Bangkok, right in the heart of Sukhumvit.
