Hilton has signed a deal with Growthpoint Properties to open a hotel under its lifestyle Canopy by Hilton brand. The 150 guestroom Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof is expected to begin welcoming guests in 2021 and will be the brand’s debut property in Africa.
Tui Group is set to expand its portfolio of owned hotels in the Cape Verde Islands with the addition of a new resort. The first Tui Magic Life club in the state off the west coast of Africa will be developed on the island of Boa Vista.
Opening in early 2021, the 462-key hotel will be in Diamniadio – a new dynamic city developed by the Senegal government, close to Dakar’s new Blaise Diagne International Airport, as well as the expanding seaport of Bargny.

AccorHotels and Platinum Properties have announced the signing of an agreement for Pullman Accra Airport City. The country’s first Pullman branded hotel and Pullman Living serviced apartments, the property will be located in the heart of Accra’s Airport City.
Radisson has announced the signing of a new hotel in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The Radisson Hotel & Apartments Abidjan Plateau signing brings the group’s Africa portfolio to 86 hotels and almost 18,000 rooms in operation and under development.
Hilton has signed a management agreement with Group Sadiki to open its first hotel in Casablanca. The news follows the conclusion of a landmark year for Hilton in Morocco which saw it re-establish a presence in the country in March 2016, with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Centre.
