Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay set to welcome guests to Morocco
Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts will open Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay on September 1st, the first Banyan Tree property on the Mediterranean coast, and the first all-pool villa resort in Morocco. Located on the northeast coast of Morocco in Tamouda Bay, the resort is a 20 minute drive from the charming city of Tetouan, and international visitors can arrive via Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier.
Club Med reveals second luxury property in Senegal
Club Med has announced its second resort in Senegal, which will be open to public from 2017. With 358 rooms and suites totalling 860 beds, the new four star development will sit on the stunning stretch of coast in Western Africa known as the Petite Côte, staying true to Club Med’s positioning as a family-orientated, all-inclusive premium holiday provider. It will sit as a four star resort within the Club Med Trident rating, with integrated five star luxury space for holidaymakers looking for added luxury.
Hilton Garden Inn hotel set for debut in Mbabane, Swaziland
Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of a management agreement with the Swaziland Public Service Pensions Fund to open a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Mbabane, Swaziland. The new build 130 guest room hotel will be located in the centre of Mbabane, the administrative capital and largest city in Swaziland. Located on Mhlambanyatsi Road, the main arterial route serving the city centre, the hotel will be situated in the CBD and ideally positioned for local and international travellers.
Minor Hotel Group signs with Qatari Diar Real Estate for new Anantara properties
Minor Hotel Group has announced a partnership with Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company to develop two new Anantara resorts in North Africa, to open in 2017. Anantara Tozeur Resort is a new luxury escape being developed by Qatari Diar in the south-west of Tunisia, in the city of Tozeur.
Wyndham signs Amboseli Golf Resort & Spa for 2017 opening
Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the signing of a management agreement for the first upscale Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property in Africa, the Wyndham Amboseli Golf Resort & Spa, close to the Amboseli National Park in Kenya. The 290-room resort, complete with an 18-hole golf course, conference centre and spa, is expected to open in 2017, becoming the second Wyndham Hotel Group brand to launch in the country following the signing earlier this year of the first Ramada hotel in Nairobi.
