Rail unions stage another 48-hour walkout on National Express East Anglia services as dispute threatens to worsen
Workers on one of the main rail lines into London have today begun another two-day strike in a long-running dispute over pay and conditions
Industrial action by members of the RMT, TSSA and ASLEF unions has been proposed to affect National Express East Anglia and Stansted Express on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August.
After three days of talks this week to prevent strike action on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August, an agreement has not been reached with the trade unions.
The ASLEF and RMT trades unions have called four 48 hour strikes starting on 30 July, 6, 13 and 20 August respectively (all Thursdays and Fridays) in relation to this year’s pay award.
NATIONAL Express East Anglia has condemned the calling of four, two-day strikes by the RMT union.
