National Express East Anglia (NXEA) has commenced a major improvement scheme at Colchester North station in Essex, representing an investment of £2.2m including financial contributions from the National Stations Improvement Programme (NSIP) and key stakeholders Essex County Council and Colchester Borough Council.

With summer here and the main holiday season soon to get underway, National Express East Anglia (NXEA) is advising customers that Network Rail engineers will be carrying out less weekend improvement works on the mainline route between Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and London Liverpool Street over the coming weeks

National Express East Anglia (NXEA) is to introduce Wi-Fi facilities for all passengers on its Norwich – Ipswich – Colchester - London intercity services before the end of this year after securing a grant of £346,000 from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils towards installation of the equipment involved.
