Ural Airlines connects Stansted to Moscow for first time
The airline will connect passengers from across London and the east of England to the Russian capital’s Domodedovo airport four-times a week using an A320 aircraft.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Russian investor Alexey Bogachev to bring the luxury hospitality brand to Moscow. Moscow-based real estate development company Storm Properties is developer of the project. Plans for the Bulgari Hotel in Moscow have been announced, and it is expected to open in 2019.

Costa Cruises is to launch a new summer cruise on board the Costa Luminosa, allowing guests the unique opportunity to visit Moscow for a day. The ‘Jewels of the Baltic’ itinerary is available throughout August 2016, with weekly sailings from Stockholm. Moscow landmark the Hotel Metropol has been sold into private hands following an auction. The five-storey Art Nouveau jewel sits just off Red Square, opposite the recently renovated Bolshoi Theatre.
Putin outlines Moscow airport plans
Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin has outlined plans to merge, renovate and privatise two major airports in the capital Moscow. Under the proposals, put forward earlier, the Russian state will pay up to $1.7 billion for the 25 per cent of Vnukovo Airport it does not already own, eventually merging it with Sheremetyevo.
Moscow hotels remains world’s most expensive
Room rates in Moscow remain the highest in the world for the fifth consecutive year, despite a 12 per cent year-on-year slide to £266 per night. They were also over a fifth higher than the second most expensive destination, Abu Dhabi (£223).
