Mexicana files for bankruptcy
Mexican airline Mexicana de Aviacion has filed for bankruptcy ending weeks of speculation over the future of the company. The airline has failed to reach an agreement with staff over pay cuts, but assured passengers operations would continue as normal while finances were restructured.

International airline Mexicana appears to be in disarray this morning as financial woes force the carrier to suspend a number of routes. Pilots have also been staging protests in Mexico City as the board meets to discuss the possibility of filing for bankruptcy.
