Meliá Hotels to operate conference centre in Mallorca
Meliá Hotels International will manage Palma de Mallorca’s new conference centre, Palacio de Congresos de Palma as well as connecting hotel, Meliá Palma Bay, located on the promenade of Palma de Mallorca. The new conference and events facility will help position the city as a leader in MICE tourism, increasing demand and profitability.
Meliá Ho Tram set for 2018 opening in Vietnam

ME by Meliá set for United States launch with Miami property
ME by Meliá is set to launch its first luxury lifestyle hotel in the United States of America in vibrant Downtown Miami in April 2016. ME Miami will be located in the epicentre of the city’s cultural hotspots, such as Pérez Art Museum, Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center and the hotly anticipated Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, which will open in summer 2016.
Meliá Hotels to open first international luxury hotel in Iran
Meliá Hotels International has announced its entry into the Iranian market with the first five-star branded hotel, which will be managed by an international hotel company, Gran Meliá Ghoo Hotel. The property will be located in the largest mixed residential, commercial and hotel complex to be developed in Iran, which is currently being built in Salman Shahr, a popular holiday destination on the Caspian Sea.
Meliá Braco Village comes to Jamaica
Meliá has opened its first property in Jamaica, Meliá Braco Village. The property is home 232 spacious guest rooms, including 52 suites, which offer a blend of traditional and contemporary design with calming cream, neutral tones and natural wood interiors.

Meliá Hotels expands China presence with new Shanghai property
Meliá Hotels International, the leading Spanish hotel company with more than 370 hotels worldwide, has continued to grow its presence in China with the announcement of a new hotel in Shanghai; bringing the total number of properties in China to eight.
