Malaysia Airlines to launch services to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu
In a bid to serve passenger demands, Malaysia Airlines will be operating flights between Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching from November 18th. The national carrier will be operating this route seasonally to coincide with the peak holiday period until December 2016.

Malaysia Airlines implements self-print baggage tags
Malaysia Airlines has announced the implementation of self-print baggage tag for all its domestic and international flights to make the travel experience for customers faster and more efficient. Blurring the line between full-service and low-cost carriers ever further, passengers on Economy Class tickets will need to print the baggage tags at check-in kiosks located around the departure level of Kuala Lumpur International Airport and self-tag their bags before proceeding to the baggage drop counter.

Malaysia Airlines signs $2.75bn Boeing 737 MAX order
Boeing and Malaysia Airlines Berhad have announced an order for 25 737 MAX 8 airplanes, valued at $2.75 billion dollars at current list prices. The order, previously attributed to an unidentified customer on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website, also includes purchase rights for additional 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9 airplanes.

The hunt for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is likely to be suspended if the aircraft is not found in the current search area. Officials from China, Malaysia and Australia confirmed the search will reach a hiatus if an area of the southern Indian Ocean currently under investigation reveals no further information.
Malaysia Airlines signs with Lufthansa for Kuala Lumpur facility

The transaction is pursuant to the option provided under the existing Lease Agreement for the four A350-900s signed by both parties in September last year.
