New chief communications officer for VFS Global
In line with the company’s on-going growth and its further expansion plans, VFS Global has appointed Peter Brun, a senior communications and media professional, as chief communications officer. He will take up the role on July 1st, 2016. In this role Brun will be responsible for corporate communications, marketing and branding, and corporate social responsibility of VFS Global.
Kuoni signs partnership with Wellbeing Escapes
Holidays to improve health, from better sleeping to weight loss, are now available to book through Kuoni travel shops throughout the UK in a new partnership with specialist company Wellbeing Escapes. A team of Kuoni personal travel experts have been trained to advise customers about holidays which focus on different aspects of health and wellbeing, such as yoga retreats, fitness boosters, stress management and detoxing.

Karkaria appointed to lead Kuoni as repositioning continues
Zubin Karkaria, chief executive of VFS Global, has been appointed as the chief executive of Kuoni Group – VFS Global’s parent company and one of the world’s leading travel services provider. He is the first Indian to be appointed as the head of the 109-year old travel services company, and will concurrently continue in his function as the chief of VFS Global.

Thomas Cook India has signed a definitive agreement with Kuoni Group to acquire Kuoni’s Travel businesses across India and Hong Kong for £80 million. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals as required.

Kuoni unveils new accommodation options for Euro 2016
As UEFA adds new team Base Camps for the Euro 2016 final tournament, the official UEFA Euro 2016 Accommodation Agency, operated by the Kuoni Group, has found nearby accommodation to suit the needs of participating teams. The accommodation – along with details of training grounds – will be added to the dedicated website, launched by UEFA and the Kuoni Group back in September 2014.
Kuoni puts tour operator division up for sale
Swiss travel company Kuoni Group has revealed it plans to sell its tour operating business. A total of 3,800 people will be affected by the decision.
