IHG signs first Hotel Indigo in Colorado
InterContinental Hotels Group’s Hotel Indigo brand, which has 61 locations open in 12 countries, is signing its first hotel in the state of Colorado. The 180-room Hotel Indigo Denver hotel, which is expected to open in winter 2016, will have approximately 1,950 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, business center, bar and restaurant.

Holiday Inn Express brand expands in Mexico’s central Bajio region
InterContinental Hotels Group is opening the group’s first hotel in Celaya, Mexico. The 120-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Celaya hotel, located in the state of Guanajuato, was developed following a US$10 million investment by ownership.
Holiday Inn hotels join UK work experience event
Three Holiday Inn hotels and Norwich International Airport are being taken over this week by more than 100 students from City College Norwich as part of the week-long Hotel & Airport Takeover event - #hoteltakeover. The students have taken on roles ranging from hotel general manager, receptionist and chef; to maître d’, health club assistant and airport check-in desk.
IHG plans third Holiday Inn in South Africa
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a franchise agreement with Choice Decisions 65 for the 151-room Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport. Expected to open in the first quarter of this year, the new Holiday Inn will be a conversion of the current Airport Grand Hotel & Conference Centre.
