Hyatt plans first ski resort in the French Alps
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans for Hyatt Centric La Rosière, the first Hyatt Centric hotel in France and Hyatt’s first ski resort in the region. Hyatt has entered into a franchise agreement with La Rosière Gestion SARL to be managed by Sophos Hotels.

Hyatt Regency debuts in Cartagena, Colombia
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has confirmed the opening of Hyatt Regency Cartagena, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Colombia. The 261-room hotel features a range of dining experiences including Kokaú, an interactive restaurant experiences; Kokaú Bar which specializes in artisan cocktails, the Amacagua Bar & Grill which serves the hotel’s three swimming pools and the Amacagua Lounge.
Hyatt Regency brand returns to Sydney
The Hyatt Regency brand has marked its return to Sydney with the debut of Hyatt Regency Sydney. Having operated in Australia for over 30 years, Hyatt hotels have developed a strong reputation in the country, and the opening of the new Hyatt Regency Sydney provides an opportunity for Hyatt to build on its MICE position in Asia Pacific.
Hyatt plans four hotels in Pakistan
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is planning to expand its Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency brands in Pakistan with the signing of management agreements by a Hyatt affiliate for four Hyatt-branded hotels. On the drawing board are Grand Hyatt Islamabad, Hyatt Regency Karachi, Hyatt Regency Lahore, and Hyatt Regency Rawalpindi. Bahria Town, one of the largest private developers in Asia, will own the four Hyatt-branded hotels.
Second Hyatt Place set to open in UK
Hyatt Hotels Corporation confirmed that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with M&L Hospitality for a Hyatt Place hotel in London, to be managed by Cycas Hospitality. Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport will mark the second Hyatt Place hotel and the fifth Hyatt-branded hotel in the United Kingdom. The Hyatt Place brand is rooted in extensive consumer insights indicating that guests seek stylish, comfortable, seamless experiences that accommodate their lifestyles and familiar routines.
Hyatt introduces new loyalty programme
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled World of Hyatt, Hyatt’s new global loyalty program, which will launch on March 1st, 2017. Hyatt Regency set to open in Seattle
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is planning to operate a Hyatt Regency hotel in Seattle. Expected to open in mid-2018, the premium, full service hotel will be located in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood at 8th and 9th Avenues between Stewart and Howell Streets in downtown Seattle.

Hyatt Regency set to debut in Croatia
Hyatt is opening first Hyatt Regency property in Croatia. The 130-room hotel will be located in Zadar, and is scheduled to open in 2019. “We look forward to collaborating with the team at Dogus Croatia to open the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Croatia, and the first Hyatt-branded hotel on the Adriatic Coast,” said Peter Norman, senior vice president, acquisitions and development – Europe, Africa, and Middle East for Hyatt.
Chu takes up new franchise strategy role with Hyatt
Hyatt has appointed its long-time executive Jim Chu to the newly created position of global head of select service and franchise strategy, designed to strengthen and support the continued growth of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands. Chu will report to Steve Haggerty, global head of capital strategy, franchising and select service for Hyatt.
