Passengers on GermanWings can now travel in particular comfort in the front seats of the plane following the installation of new seats across the low-cost airline’s entire fleet means. The development means the first ten rows in each aircraft now offer a particularly spacious seat pitch.

Lufthansa has reported a three-fold increase in profits, adding weight to expectations of a recovery in the global aviation sector. The German flag-carrier reported third quarter net profits of €628 million - far higher than the €390 million forecast by analysts.
Germanwings, which began in October 2002 as the low cost carrier within the Lufthansa legacy group and servicing 7.2 million passengers in 2009, has added Hannover as its sixth base of operations as it launched London Stansted to Hannover Route on Thursday April, 29th. Three Airbus A 319 aircraft stationed in Hanover fly will fly to a total of 16 cities.
Despite industrial action next week, Germanwings will provide over 400 of the 600 flights that would normally have operated during the strike period.
As of 29 April 2010 Germanwings, one of Germany’s leading low-cost airlines, will be basing three aircraft at Hanover-Langenhagen airport, the airline announced on Monday, making Hanover Germanwings’ sixth base in Germany.
