Travel broadcaster Phil Blizzard takes off with this look at the new routes to and from Central and Eastern Europe by the award winning Dubai based carrier flydubai. The airline commences flights to Prague in the Czech Republic as of December 5th with 4 flights per week and a day later commences services, twice per week, to Bratislava in Slovakia. The Dubai based carrier will then commence flights to Sofia in Bulgaria as of December 14th, again on a twice weekly basis.

Dubai’s fast growing carrier, flydubai, has started today the first of three routes into Tanzania, East Africa with their daily service to Dar es Salaam, the political capital of the country. The service from Dubai International Airport will offer passengers the option of flydubai’s Business Class service for the flights to Julius Nyerere International Airport.

Dubai-based flydubai has announced the addition of three new East African routes, bringing the total number of destinations in the carrier’s network to 80. With the launch of flights in September 2014 to Bujumbura in Burundi, Entebbe in Uganda and Kigali in Rwanda, flydubai will fly to nine destinations in Africa.

UK air traffic service provider NATS has signed a Memorandum of Co-operation with Dubai-based airline flydubai. The deal will allow the two organisations to explore how their core capabilities can be utilised to deliver significant benefits to the airline’s business.

FlyDubai is launching a three times weekly service to Aden and a twice weekly service to Kandahar, starting on 01 August and 25 July 2014 respectively. These new route launches bring the airline’s network to 68 destinations.

Boeing has said flydubai has signed an agreement to implement Boeing’s suite of mobile maintenance applications. The airline will deploy Maintenance Turn Time, Toolbox Mobile Library and Toolbox Mobile Parts – solutions that provide real-time access to the information technicians need to quickly resolve maintenance issues.
