The acquisitions strengthen Flight Centre’s corporate and leisure presence significantly in markets such as Canada and New Zealand; as well as the fast-growing mobile agency sector in Australia.
Flight Centre Travel Group has further strengthened its corporate travel footprint in Europe. The Australian-headquartered company, which recently acquired corporate businesses in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden, today announced an agreement to invest in a 25 per cent share of business travel and technology agency, 3mundi, which has operations in France, Switzerland and Spain.
Flight Centre Travel Group has announced plans to expand its business travel foothold in Germany, following the acquisition of Opodo Corporate from eDreams. Opodo Corporate will operate as FCTG Corporate until the end of this year and transition to Flight Centre’s travel management brand, FCM, from January 2018.
Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed Leanne Broutta as its new destination owner for Australia and New Zealand. Broutta joins Flight Centre from Trailfinders, where she was responsible for managing the company’s Australasia product.
