Finnair makes green choice with new engine supplier
Finnair has selected IAE International Aero Engines AG to supply engines for its five new Airbus A321 extended range aircraft, entering the Finnair fleet from September 2013. The IAE V2533-A5 engines offer Finnair a significant advantage in fuel efficiency over the competition, saving about 300 tons of fuel per year per aircraft, according to aircraft supplier Airbus test data. The engines also operate well within noise limitations set by ICAO and the EU.
airberlin and Finnair expand codeshare cooperation
airberlin and its oneworld® partner Finnair are building on their current codeshare cooperation and expanding in markets in Scandinavia and the Middle East. In combination with an airberlin or a Finnair flight to Helsinki, from now on flight guests can book a connecting flight operated by Finnair from Helsinki to Tallinn, Turku, Tampere and Oulu with airberlin.
Flybe to operate 12 Finnair aircraft
Finnair and Flybe have signed a memorandum of understanding which will see the Finish airline transfer twelve 100-seat Embraer aircraft to Flybe. Starting October 2012, Flybe will operate these aircraft on Finnair routes for Finnair.

Finnair and TAP Portugal have confirmed they will codeshare on flights between Portugal and Finland. With this codeshare agreement, Finnair’s code will be added to TAP’s direct flights between Lisbon and Helsinki.
