AHIC 2015: FRHI reveals plans to triple residential portfolio
FRHI Hotels & Resorts has announced at Arabian Travel Market that its global portfolio of branded residential projects will triple by 2018 as part of an ongoing expansion strategy. Currently operating 16 residential projects across its worldwide portfolio, FRHI has an additional 35 residential projects in varying stages of development across its three brands, including locations in Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, China, and Turkey.
FRHI Hotels & Resorts outlines plans to double footprint in Egypt
FRHI Hotels & Resorts has begun the development of two new hotel projects in Egypt while also releasing new details of its previously announced tri-brand hotel development in Sharm El Sheikh. FRHI signed agreements with Citystars Properties, a leader in the development of high quality mixed-use real estate in Egypt, to brand and operate all five projects. Upon completion, the new hotels will more than double the luxury hotel company’s footprint in Egypt.

New marketing chief for FRHI Hotels & Resorts
FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of Andrew Farrow as director marketing, Europe. Based in FRHI’s regional office in Zurich, Andrew Farrow will be responsible for the execution of marketing communications campaigns as well as leveraging external communication efforts across all of FRHI’s leading hotel brands.
FRHI Hotels signs up to Claremont Hotel Club & Spa
FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of luxury and upper upscale hotel brands Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, together with California financier Richard Blum and his family, have purchased the historic Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley, California. FRHI and the Blum family are equal partners and terms were not disclosed.

FRHI Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Aiden McAuley as senior vice president operations, Europe. The group is the parent company of luxury and upper upscale hotel brands Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Fairmont Nanjing – the luxury hotel brand’s fourth property in China. Situated in the heart of the prestigious district of Hexi New Town, it is the closest luxury hotel to major transportation centres, mainly, Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Nanjing South Railway Station, and just a few blocks from the Nanjing International Expo Centre and Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre.

Fairmont Hangzhou given go ahead
FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of luxury hotel brand Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Hengli Management, the subsidiary of Zhong An Real Estate have announced Fairmont Hangzhou, a new luxury hotel development in the capital city of Zhejiang province in the heart of Yangtze River Delta region, Eastern China.
Fairmont hotel to be built in Hangzhou
A Fairmont hotel is scheduled to open in Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province, in 2017. The 300 room property will feature five dining outlets, a health club and swimming pool, a Willow Stream Spa, and 3,000 square meters of meeting and banquet space. The project will also include 180 Fairmont Serviced Residences.
