Enterprise Rent-A-Car has appointed Reykjavik Excursions as a franchise partner in Iceland, extending the company’s fast-growing international network of car hire branches to another important European destination. The agreement will see the familiar Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand appear at airport and city locations in Iceland during the coming months.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is now available to customers in the new markets of Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Bosnia Herzegovina and Macedonia. This is the next step in the company’s phased expansion programme and means that the Enterprise brand is currently operating in 19 European countries with more in the pipeline.

Corporate travel buyers in Europe can now more easily select Enterprise Rent-A-Car for their car hire needs in all major European markets, after it formed new agreements with a number of the world’s top travel management operators including American Express Travel and BCD Travel. This growth into the travel management industry follows Enterprise’s major pan-European expansion programme both through acquisition and the appointment of franchisee partners.

Enterprise CarShare – served by the local Enterprise Rent-A-Car network – is now offering free downtown parking to members who rent a hybrid vehicle, all in partnership with the city government. The free metered parking is part of a new green vehicle initiative in Salt Lake City.

Enterprise Holdings today announced that its regional subsidiary, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Canada Company,is purchasing AutoShare CarSharing Network Inc. In 1998, AutoShare was established as Toronto’s first car-sharing organisation, and today serves more than 12,000 local members.

Enterprise Holdings has announced that it is franchising the use of its Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand to several Caribbean operators. These franchisees include Guyane Car in French Guiana, LAM in Martinique and SGLV in Guadeloupe.
