Door2Tour.com has reported its sales figures for January compared to the same month in 2012 have shown a 54.5% increase in European breaks, with Italy, Germany and France proving to be popular destinations for escorted tours in 2013.
Door2Tour.com has revealed that the ‘staycation’ could be making a comeback. The latest figures from the tour operator have shown that sales of UK breaks have increased by approximately 9% compared to the same period last year. This has been put down to the UK being under the spotlight during 2012.
Door2Tour.com, the website tour consolidator, has found that the recent civil unrest, economic crisis and poor exchange rates in the Eurozone are having a negative impact for Europe in terms of Brits choosing to take their holidays there, with many opting to stay closer to home and holiday in the UK instead.
