Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol opened its doors this week, becoming the first internationally branded luxury resort in Cyprus.
Xavier Jolivet has been appointed general manager at Amara, Stademos Hotels’ newest development. The property is set to open in Limassol in May.
Building on an already-successful partnership, the new deal will see the group grow its existing portfolio in the country to six hotels and almost 1,000 rooms by 2025.
The Radisson hotel brand is to expand in southern Europe with the signing of the Radisson Larnaca Beach Resort on the island of Cyprus. The resort is due to open in the autumn next year.
Cyprus-based airline Cobalt Air has ceased operations after failing to agree new financial arrangements with creditors. Passengers with outstanding tickets were urged not to go to Larnaca or any other airport, as no further departures were planned.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation is celebrating a record-breaking year for tourism with global visitors up 14.6 per cent in 2017 compared to 2016. From January to December 2017, Cyprus’ global tourist arrivals reached 3,652,073; a 14.6 per cent increase on 2016.
Cobalt Air will launch a new daily service beginning, linking London Heathrow with Larnaca, Cyprus, on March 27th. Cobalt Air is the only carrier offering connections to Cyprus from London’s three main airports: Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.
