Carlson Rezidor expands in India
Carlson Rezidor has signed a portfolio agreement withMushtaq Group of Hotels to open seven hotels comprising 817-rooms under the Radisson Blu, Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM brands, in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
New appointment for Carlson Rezidor
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group appointed Jolene Reid director of Development for Canada. Reid will be based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and will represent all Carlson Rezidor hotel brands. Reid will report to Phil Silberstein, executive vice president, Development, Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
Carlson Rezidor brings Radisson Blu to Nairobi
Carlson Rezidor, one of the largest and most dynamic hotel groups worldwide, continues to strengthen its presence in Africa, the company’s most important growth market. The group has announced the first Radisson Blu Residence in Nairobi, Kenya. The property with 123 units will be located adjacent to the State House and welcome the first guests in late 2016.
Radisson Medan set to open in Indonesia
Radisson Medan will be the fifth Carlson Rezidor hotel scheduled to open in Indonesia after Radisson Blu Bali Uluwatu, Radisson Golf & Convention Center Batam, Park Inn by Radisson Lampung and Radisson Jakarta Cengkareng. Medan is the fourth largest city in Indonesia, and within a one-hour flight radius of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Carlson Rezidor reveals Nairobi Radisson Blu
Carlson Rezidor is anticipated to open its first Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi in late 2015, with the property becoming Rezidor’s flagship hotel in East Africa. The hotel will have 271 bedrooms and feature a health club, spa and over 1,400 square metres of conference space. Nairobi has one of the fastest growing economies on the continent and is seen by Carlson Rezidor as the gateway to rest of Africa.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is launching its new Radisson Red hotel brand in India. The launch of this upscale Lifestyle Elect brand is part of the group’s aggressive expansion plans for India, where it currently has 74 hotels in operation and 43 more in the pipeline.

Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands opens to guests
The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has seen the opening of Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands. The hotel offers 122 superior guest rooms and lies at the foot of Table Mountain – a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town.
Carlson Rezidor plans two new hotels in Africa
Carlson Rezidor is planning to open two new properties in Uganda and Ghana. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Kampala will open in 2016 while The Radisson Blu Hotel Accra Airport is set to open in 2017.
Park Inn by Radisson Residence headed for Dubai following latest Rezidor deal
Carlson Rezidor Hotel has announced the Park Inn by Radisson Residence Dubai Jumeirah Village Triangle. The property featuring 261 studios and apartments is scheduled to open in quarter two of 2017. It brings Carlson Rezidor’s portfolio in Dubai to 14 hotels with around 3,300 rooms in operation and under development.
Carlson Rezidor steps up Asia Pacific presence
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is adding to its Asia Pacific pipeline with two new deals and the opening of three new hotels in India. At the same time, the group continues to expand its Radisson Blu brand, with the opening of its first Radisson Blu hotel in Bangkok, right in the heart of Sukhumvit.
