Philippine tourism chief proposes adoption of national tourism recovery strategies for Asia-Pacific
Philippine tourism secretary Christina Garcia Frasco proposed at the 11th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Tourism Ministerial Meeting last week that some of the tourism recovery strategies taken by the Philippine government could be magnified and adapted on a larger scale in the Asia-Pacific region.

Thailand to extend visas to boost tourism
Thailand’s Tourism Ministry wants tourist visas to be extended to boost visitor numbers. The Ministry has proposed extending certain visa validity by 15 days. It wants travellers on the visa-on-arrival scheme to be able to stay for 30 days instead of the current 15 days.

Vietnam Airlines restart flights from Da Nang to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur
Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to resume regular flights from Da Nang to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur next month as international tourism gradually recovers. Starting September 1 there will be four weekly flights on the Da Nang-Kuala Lumpur route. The Da Nang-Bangkok service will restart two weeks later with daily flights.
