Computer glitch sees dozens of British Airways flights cancelled
British Airways passengers on flights out of the UK have seen departures disrupted after a computer glitch hit check-in procedures. Passengers have been unable to check-in for flights online, with staff resorting to paper ticketing.
London Gatwick opens new domestic arrivals route
London Gatwick has opened a new arrivals facility for domestic travellers from other parts of the UK and Republic of Ireland. It is hoped the facility will provide a faster and more convenient exit from the aircraft through a new dedicated arrivals route.
Dubai World Central seizes opportunity for growth
Passenger traffic at Dubai World Central surged to 1.2 million during the first half of 2019, compared to 517,813 during the same period in 2018. London Gatwick has achieved its busiest-ever start to a financial year, as passenger numbers grew by 1.7 per cent in quarter one compared to 2018. In total some 12.5 million passengers travelled through the airport in the first three months.
