Accor boosts green credentials with Fonciere des Murs
Accor and Fonciere des Murs, which are both committed to ambitious sustainable development strategies, announce the signing of “green leases” for all the 152 buildings leased by Accor and owned by Fonciere des Murs, reflecting the strong momentum behind their partnership and responsibility policy.
Accor tailors Mercure for China
Accor, the world’s leading hotel operator, announces the re-engineering of its Grand Mercure brand, tailored for the Chinese market. The brand was unveiled today at the inauguration of Grand Mercure Shanghai Zhongya, the first hotel adapted to this new positioning. Grand Mercure combines Accor’s extensive hotel experience and significant distribution tools with products and services customized to the needs of the upscale Chinese traveler.
Pullman adds two new addresses to its European network
At the start of the year, Pullman added two new establishments to its European network: the Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne in the Netherlands and the Pullman Munich in Germany. With 27 hotels on the continent, Pullman, which also has an extensive presence in the Asia-Pacific area, has established excellent coverage of the European region and is confirming its determination to grow.

Sale of Novotel New York Times Square under €160m Sale & Management-Back agreement
As part of its asset management strategy, Accor announces the sale of the Novotel Times Square in New York under a sale and management-back agreement, for a total value of €160m (€335,000 per room). The selling price amounts to €71m. The buyer has committed to complete a full renovation of the hotel between 2012 and 2013, at an estimated cost of €89m based on a scope defined by Accor. The hotel will remain open while the work is being carried out. In addition, an earn-out amounting up to €12m could be cashed in depending on the results of the hotel after the refurbishment.

Accor, the world’s leading hotel operator and market leader in Brazil, opens its 150th hotel in Brazil with the Novotel Porto Alegre Aeroporto and celebrates 34 years of presence in this country.
Accor racks up another record year of expansion in Asia Pacific
2011 was another record year for Accor in Asia Pacific. The company added 67 hotels in 10 countries throughout the region. Accor ended 2011 operating almost 480 hotels (92,000 guest rooms) in 16 countries in Asia Pacific.
Accor sells Pullman Paris Rive Gauche to Bouygues Immobilier
Accor has announced the sale of the Pullman Paris Rive Gauche to Bouygues Immobilier for €77 million, in line with its asset-right strategy. The hotel, whose operating performance and technical standards fall below group requirements, will shut down in 2012.
Accor enjoys strong performance in 2011
French hotel giant has reported a series of strong financial results for 2011. In figures “well above the group’s objectives”, Accor reported sales for the year increased 2.5 per cent to a total of €6.1 billion.

Accor North America complete one of world’s largest wireless deployments
Accor North America has completed a nationwide WiFi deployment across all of Accor North America’s Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties. With nearly 10,000 access points spanning 620 properties, the deployment represents one of the world’s largest WiFi installations and is the largest cloud managed wireless LAN on record.
