China takes lead in Pullman development
Upscale hotel brand Pullman has announced the opening of Pullman Anshan Time Square, in downtown Anshan. Located in the city dubbed the ‘Capital of Iron and Steel’, the opening means China is now the largest country market in the Pullman network.
Accor boosts London presence with new properties
Accor is set to open four new hotels in London in October; a Novotel and ibis hotel in Blackfriars, a second ibis hotel in Shepherd’s Bush and a new addition to the growing Mercure hotel portfolio, opening in Greenwich. During this important year for London, Accor aims to further expand its presence in the city by developing new hotels, creating jobs and investing in the training and development of young people in the hospitality industry.
Ibis steps up its presence in Hong Kong
And then there were two in Hong Kong! Ibis has recently opened its second hotel in this archipelago that has been dubbed the Pearl of the East.
Accor records strong growth in profits
Accor has said it will accelerate expansion plans after reporting a strong increase in profits for the first half of financial 2012. The French hotel giant recorded a sharp 10.1 per cent like-for-like improvement in earnings before tax and interest, to €212 million, in particular thanks to the success of the asset management strategy.

Sofitel acquires The Hotel Ivoire
Sofitel announce the signing of a management contract with the Société des Palaces de Cocody (SPDC), representing the Ivorian State, which formalises the acquisition of the Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) by the luxury brand of the French hotel group, Accor.
Accor acquires South American hotel portfolio of Grupo Posadas
French hotel giant Accor has acquired the South American hotel portfolio of Grupo Posadas, bringing 15 new hotels under management. The deal for the Mexican hotel company also secures a pipeline of a further 14 hotels.
Accor participates actively in a “Fantastic” lille3000
After its partnership with “Lille 2004, European Capital of Culture”, Accor is now an Official Partner of lille3000 and will take part in the thematic edition of “Fantastic” from October 6, 2012 to January 13, 2013.

Accor will be auctioning off or selling more than 1,100 furniture and other items – inter alia from the Pullman Paris Rive Gauche, Sofitel Paris le Faubourg and Académie Accor in France – on the Group’s online boutique on eBay.fr.
