Wyndham Grand Tbilisi takes brand into Georgia

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has welcomed the debut of flagship upper-upscale hotel brand, Wyndham Grand, in Georgia with the opening of Wyndham Grand Tbilisi.

This new opening adds to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio of hotels in Georgia and the CIS region.

Wyndham Grand Tbilisi is owned by City M Company and is operated under a franchised agreement.

Many local dignitaries and government representatives were on hand for the grand opening celebration.

The attendees included Mamuka Bakhtadze, prime minister of Georgia, Kakha Kaladze, mayor of Tbilisi, Natia Turnava, minister of economy and sustainable development, and Mariam Kvrivishvili, head of the National Tourism Administration.

Wyndham Grand Tbilisi is located centrally on Freedom Square, and has been designed by renowned architect, Yuri Puchinsky, to fit with the historic architecture of the neighbourhood, matching nearby landmarks including the National Library of Georgia and the National Museum.

Situated just a stone’s throw from Rustaveli Avenue, the hotel is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and some of the city’s best shopping districts.

Set across eight floors with 158 stylish guest rooms, including 17 suites and two presidential suites, Wyndham Grand Tbilisi boasts five well-equipped conference spaces as well as a relaxing lounge bar and three restaurants, which serve a range of local and international delicacies complimented by a rich selection of cocktails and delicious Georgian wine.

A magnificent lobby featuring the bespoke 22-metre Chandelier of Peace, and ballroom with the breath-taking views provide an ideal space for larger events and upscale dinners. 

Wyndham Grand Tbilisi is the latest addition to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio of hotels in Georgia, which also includes Wyndham Batumi and Ramada Encore Tbilisi.
