World Travel Awards has revealed it will webcast its Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony live to a global audience this evening.

The event, hosted by Paradise Island Resort, Maldives, will begin at 20:30 in partnership with official telecoms partner Dhiraagu.

WTA was launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the global travel and tourism industry.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, it is regarded as the highest achievement that a travel product could hope to receive.
