The winner of the EXPO-2017 international architectural competition unveiled
The 22nd of October the results of the international architectural competition for the best concept design of the EXPO-2017 exhibition site will be unveiled in Astana.
The CEO of JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” Talgat Ermegiyaev, The Chairman of the Technical Committee of the competition Jeremy Rifkin, as well as the representatives of the architectural firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture are expected to attend the event.
As previously reported, on the 16th of October, during the conference for the preparation and realisation of the international exhibition EXPO-2017, under the chairmanship of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev, the architectural concept design for the EXPO-2017 site has been approved.

The company has been implementing a number of landmark projects worldwide , such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (UAE ) , the tallest building in the world - KINGDOM TOWER in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) . According to the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the competition Jeremy Rifkin , the project by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture is the most acceptable from the point of view of sustainable development and architecturally artistic appearance, as from the point of view of its continuing use after the EXPO-2017 exhibition.
