Stoke Place celebrates completion of major refurbishment
Great Hotels of the World is delighted to announce the completion of a major refurbishment at Stoke Place – an English country house in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, UK. Stoke Place has opened 10 new Garden Bedrooms, located within their walled garden and peacefully secluded from the rest of the property. Each of the new 10 bedrooms has one wall of glass with lovely views of the surrounding grounds and private seating areas. The rooms are very modern with wooden flooring and beautifully tiled bathrooms. These new rooms are also perfect for groups in need of a private area. The bedrooms overlook the new herb & vegetable gardens at the hotel, designed to make the property more self-sufficient and environmentally-friendly. The successful completion of these bedrooms takes Stoke Place from a 30 bedroom to a 40 bedroom hotel.
The Dhillon Group’s Head Office move to Mayfair in London has also allowed the hotel to increase valuable working space for Stoke Place’s corporate clients. Located in the property’s Old Stables, two new office spaces have been created, including a boardroom for up to 10 delegates and another meeting space for up to five delegates. These new settings are perfect for more intimate meetings and provide alternative breakout options from the larger meeting spaces at the hotel.
Stoke Place has also responded to guests’ requests for a gym onsite. Located in the Old Stables of the hotel with courtyard views, the brand-new gym boasts a quirky and fun design, complete with wood panelled walls, vintage furniture, individual mirrors facing each machine, and the latest gym equipment. The new fitness room is the ultimate space for both corporate and leisure guests to unwind and workout.
The latest room to be completed is the hotel’s spa treatment room, built to provide guests with the ultimate space for beauty therapy. Guests can now enjoy a variety of treatments including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures with Stoke Place’s beauty specialists Flutterby.
Only 30 minutes away from the bustle of London, Stoke Place is a quiet haven away from the city. Set amidst the English country landscape, the three storey ‘William and Mary’ style house was originally a family home in 1690 until it was converted into a hotel. With an impressive 26 acres of grounds, Stoke Place provides a stunning backdrop for a relaxing and rejuvenating break. Stoke Place’s Garden Room restaurant has recently been awarded an excellent rating of ‘4’ in the Good Food Guide 2011, 2 AA Rosettes for outstanding cuisine in the AA Restaurant Guide and has been recommended within the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2011.
