Singapore Airlines launches new Apple Watch compatible mobile app
Singapore Airlines has launched an all-new mobile app for both Apple and Android smartphones, as well as for the Apple Watch.
Introducing a redesigned user interface with new features, the app aims to provide a functional and seamless user experience.
Features include a contextual homepage that displays the most relevant information about upcoming trips.
A new ‘My Trips’ page keeps necessary information such as flight dates and booking references at the customer’s fingertips, while also providing customised images that offer a sneak preview of what to expect during upcoming flights.
Upon launching the app, users will be greeted by a clean and contemporary interface.
Panoramic photos have also been infused into the design layout to render a modern and sleek look.
Customers can look forward to an integrated flight schedule and booking widget that enables faster and easier bookings of flights, as well as a widget that displays current flight status.
KrisFlyer members will also be able to view their membership details such as miles and tier info in an easy-to-read design.
Further enhancements will also be rolled out progressively to the app.
Apple Watch users can also look forward to features such as Glance View, incorporating trip reminders and up-to-date information such as when counters are ready for check-in.
“Singapore Airlines is continually transforming in order to stay at the forefront of airline innovation, and we are confident that our latest mobile offerings with a wide array of useful tools and convenient features will help us achieve just that,” said SIA divisional vice president sales and marketing, Foo Chai Woo.
Built in conjunction with Mobile Travel Technologies, the new Singapore Airlines app is available for download at the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
This new app is one of the improvements that will be made progressively as part of Singapore Airlines’ efforts to improve customers’ experiences across digital touchpoints.
These include the rollout of enhanced functionalities on a beta version of the Singapore Airlines website, which is currently available to the public for use, and an upcoming tablet version of the Singapore Airlines app which will contain more content designed for customers’ convenience.
