Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to manage Tuckers Point Hotel & Spa

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce it has been chosen by Castle Harbor, owners of Tucker’s Point Hotel and Spa, to manage the resort.  Rosewood assumed management responsibilities on 1st April 2011, and co-hosted a ceremony attended by local dignitaries and business leaders on 14th April at Tucker’s Point at which time the resort was renamed Rosewood Tucker’s Point. This increases Rosewood’s collection of ultra luxury properties to 19 in eight countries.

“We’re very happy to add Tucker’s Point to the Rosewood collection,” said Rosewood CEO John Scott. “Bermuda is a destination we’ve been enamored with for a long time and when the opportunity was presented to us, we immediately saw the fit with Rosewood and the immense potential with the property.”

“We are confident that Rosewood is the perfect fit for Tucker’s Point Hotel & Spa and are excited to join its prestigious collection of hotels and resorts.  We are also proud to be the impetus for attracting such a preeminent brand to the island of Bermuda.  The presence of Rosewood underscores Bermuda’s viability as a tourist destination for discerning travelers,” said Ed Trippe, president of Tucker’s Point.

Mr. Scott added that Bermuda is an excellent complement to Rosewood’s award-winning resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico. “Rosewood seeks out the world’s most unique and desirable locations for our properties and Tucker’s Town, Bermuda is a perfect fit for us.  Rosewood Tucker’s Point integrates nicely with our A Sense of Place® philosophy, reflecting the history, architecture, scale and sensibilities of this fantastic destination.”

In addition to integrating Rosewood Tucker’s Point into Rosewood technology systems, distribution channels, service standards and training protocol, the resort’s spa will be rechristened Sense, A Rosewood Spa® later this year and will adapt Sense spa’s protocols and treatment philosophy.  RoseBuds™, Rosewood’s Montessori-inspired children’s program, will also be introduced at the resort and will offer services, amenities and activities for children of all ages.
