priceline.com has announced the beta launch of Express Deals for airfare, giving travellers the chance to save up to an additional 20% off retail airfare rates without bidding.

The new Express Deals feature has been embedded into priceline.com’s customized flight results and Express Deals will be available for many major airlines that priceline.com already partners with.  For consumers, when Express Deals are available and bookable for a given flight search, they will be displayed along with the other retail fare results. Prior to booking, Express Deals will show departure windows, number of connections possible, and maximum potential connection hours.  Specific itineraries for Express Deals are displayed after the reservation is booked.

Today’s news reiterates priceline.com’s commitment to bring our customers a wide array of pricing and booking options when it comes to travel.  The success of Express Deals for hotels, confirms an appetite among a subset of consumers to trade flexibility for deep discounts, so priceline.com is expanding this model across flights to further deliver great products for travelers.

The new priceline.com app featuring Express Deals for flightsis now available for free download from the iTunes Store.  Current iPhone and iPad app users will need to update to the latest version of their apps in order to add the Express Deals feature, which complements an already-comprehensive suite of published-price and deeply discounted travel booking options.
