Passenger goes overboard in Alaska

On Monday a 45 year old woman went overboard whilst cruising around Alaska aboard Holland America’s Zaandam.

The last contact made was at midnight when she ordered room service at about midnight.  Her travelling companion reported her missing the next day.  It is thought that she went overboard between Douglas Island and Glacier Bay.

After a massive search by the Coast Guard she was eventually found.  The reasons why she went overboard are unclear but it believed that she took her own life.
