Oman Air racing team’s Ahmad Al Harthy takes podium double at Knockhill

Omani Air Racing Team star Ahmad Al Harthy made a welcome return to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship Pro-Am 1 podium at Knockhill in Scotland last weekend. Ahmad achieved third place in both rounds 12 and 13 of the championship, taking this season’s tally to eight podium places.

The 30 year-old racing talent from Oman lived up to his pre-race promise with two superb performances, qualifying fourth fastest for each encounter at the 1.3-mile track. Knockhill is one of the most challenging race tracks of the championship, but Ahmad Al Harthy’s skill and determination meant he was able to consolidate his third place in the Pro-Am 1 points standings.

Ahmad Al Harthy says:

“I am so pleased to be back on the podium. It has been great to fly the Omani flag in a new country and gain some recognition here, as well as in England.  Thank you to the Oman Air Racing Team for yet another great job and to my sponsors for their wonderful support.”

Oman Air’s Chief Officer Corporate Affairs, Philippe Georgiou, says:
