Oakwood has appointed Ken Moore to the tole of managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

With the region experiencing significant market growth, Moore will lead Oakwood’s efforts to scale EMEA operations in order to better serve existing and emerging customer needs, and expand the business throughout the region.

“I am delighted to have Ken join the Oakwood executive team.

“Ken’s extensive background in hospitality management and his ability to drive customer service and expand market presence make him a great fit for leading the EMEA region.

“I am confident Ken will leverage his global experience spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East to deliver on the aggressive growth plans Oakwood has set for the region,” said Chris Ahearn, chief executive officer, Oakwood.

Oakwood is wholly owned by Mapletree Investments.

As head of Oakwood’s regional operations, Moore will leverage his background in strategic planning and expansion to bolster business development and property acquisition.

Before joining Oakwood, Moore managed leading brands in the hospitality and serviced apartments sector including Pavilion Group, Dong Du International and Le Méridien Resorts, where he guided these companies to achieving tangible change.
