New hotel manager for St Pancras Renaissance Hotel Banner has taken over at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

After opening to great acclaim just over two years ago, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel has welcomed a new general manager to the property.

Gareth Banner brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from both the international hospitality world and the luxury boutique hotel market.

He was most recently the general manager of The Hempel, the 50 bedroom luxury property credited with being London’s first boutique hotel, and the one which set the standards for hotel architecture and interior design.

Prior to this, he was hotel manager at The Cavendish London, the luxury hotel located in the heart of Mayfair.

Before working in boutique properties, Banner was with Marriott International and spent over eight years working within operations and project management.

He worked on a number of exciting initiatives whilst project manager for the London Marriott Kensington Hotel from 2002 to 2003 before going on to be the Director of Operations at Cardiff Marriott from 2003 to 2006.

Ed Hubenette, area vice president, United Kingdom & Ireland, Marriott International, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Gareth is taking up the position of general manager at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

“It is great to welcome him back to Marriott and we look forward to supporting him in implementing the knowledge and experiences he has gained over the past few years into the iconic hotel.”
